FTTH Council Europe becomes Fibre Council Europe

On Brussels 29 July 2026 the FTTH Council Europe announced its rebrand as Fibre Council Europe. After more than 20 years at the forefront of fibre deployment in Europe, the Council opens a new chapter. A new name, a new visual identity, and an expanded mission.

New name and identity reflect the organisation's expanded role in powering Europe's digital future

The rebranding reflects an evolution rather than a revolution. The Council's values remain
unchanged, while its mission expands: moving beyond fibre to the home to the full fibre
ecosystem, encompassing fixed connectivity, the fibre infrastructure that powers mobile
networks, data centres, and the digital services on which citizens, businesses and public
institutions depend.

A new logo and a new tagline

The rebrand is accompanied by a new visual identity and the tagline "Powering Europe's digital future", expressing the Council's ambition to ensure that world-class fibre infrastructure reaches everyone in Europe.

What changes for members and partners

The Council's governance, membership and activities continue unchanged, while its mission expands: as part of the wider scope, the Council's practices and workstreams will evolve, and new ones will arise in areas such as data centres and the HFC to FTTH transition.

Fibre Horizons

As part of the rebranding, the Council's annual flagship Conference — Europe's largest gathering of the fibre community — will be renamed Fibre Horizons, reflecting both the expanded scope of the event's content and the wider network of people it brings together. The next edition will take place on 17–18 March at Allianz MiCo, Milan, bringing together operators, vendors, investors and policymakers from across the global fibre industry.
