Johann Marquez-Barja: "Did you know that satellites are going to be part of 6G networks?"

Johann Marquez-Barja is a professor at the University of Antwerp and Imec Research Centre. He's the head of the Programmable & Intelligence Network Group, where they focus on bringing intelligence to the network communications. He's the third speaker at the Fitce 6G Café.

For instance, 6G will bring a lot of intelligence making our networks way more efficient. And this efficiency will bring sustainability, something that in 5G we are not there yet.

New enablers are going to play a major role in 6G networks. Enablers such as artificial intelligence and programmability.

The new 6G networks are capable to reshape itself by using software and intelligence natively, embedded in the system.
