This FITCE.be summer meeting 2022 will give context on sustainability of the complete network:wireless, fiber and cloud. After a short and comprehensive programme, there will be time to meet each other and discuss how to make future networks sustainable.

It is important to think now how we should build our networks for the next 30 years, in a sustainable way. Sustainability is essential in each sector. Yet, the telecom sector is moving towards some major technology upgrades that will support our communication in the next couple of decades: from FttH to the next generation cellular technology.

We already explored this important topic in our webinar, and will now elaborate further by highlighting the vision of the operators, and complement their stories with expert insights.

Our first speaker at this event is Benoît Latré who will give us insights in the role and vision of the BIPT. Then Rita de Castro from GSMA who will present opportunities and commitments taken by the industry towards a sustainable future. Kurt De Lange from Proximus will complement this view from a Belgian operator point of view, focusing on how the transition to FttH supports sustainability goals. Finally, data centers and the cloud are becoming more and more important and Laurens van Reijen from LCL will shed some light on the role and opportunities presented by next generation large scale computing.
